Swallowing Disorders

We specialize in swallowing disorders (dysphagia) related to stroke, traumatic brain injury, head/neck cancer, and respiratory conditions. We are highly trained in a variety of treatment approaches including the McNeill Dysphagia Treatment Program (MDTP) and respiratory muscle strength training (RMT) to best meet your rehabilitation goals.

Cognitive-Communication Disorders

As Certified Brain Injury Specialists (CBIS), we specialize in acquired and progressive neurologic conditions. Our areas of expertise include rehabilitation and compensatory training with caregivers and family for traumatic brain injury, concussion (mTBI), stroke, mild cognitive impairment, dementia, and Parkinson's Disease.

Individuals who have suffered a brain injury may result in aphasia. This includes difficulty finding the correct word they are thinking of, saying words that are similar to what they want to say, difficulty answering questions, and understanding what is asked of them.

Motor Speech Disoders

Individuals who have suffered a brain injury may result in dysarthria (slurred speech) and apraxia (difficulty coordinating mouth movements to produce speech).
